Inspired by the paintings of Sanyu, with their free and easy Eastern women. Not simply floral or fruity: as pure as skin after a mountain spring. Made with perfumer Jérôme Epinette, with ambrette seed oil from El Salvador and no animal musk.

The jade-like octagonal cap is inspired by the lattice windows of Jiangnan gardens. Each one is made by hand, with 26 facets polished one by one. Eau de parfum at 18% to 25% concentration.

A floral musk, like a second skin.
The founder saw paintings by Sanyu in Taiwan: women painted with an innocent ease that felt free and very Eastern. The aim was a scent that is not simply floral or fruity but as pure as a second skin. Wearing it is like stepping out of a mountain spring, with the body giving off its own natural scent.

A plant musk, no animal notes.
To Summer does not use animal musks. Ambrette seed oil has a rich, ambergris-like scent and is rare and costly: 500 kg of seeds from El Salvador give 1 kg of oil, and its scent is much fuller than ordinary ambrette.

A perfumer of the younger generation, Jérôme Epinette dislikes complication and looks for natural materials and clean, modern design. He works against trends and repetition, so each of his scents is easy to recognise. For To Summer he also made Triple Tea, Orange Dive and Bitters.
The cap takes its shape from the eight-sided lattice windows of Jiangnan gardens. Each one is made by hand, with 26 facets polished one by one, so no two have the same grain. It has the soft, warm shine of jade.
